Nioh is a free-to-play action RPG for PC that can be downloaded from the Steam store. It is the first official title in the series, created by the Japanese studio Team Ninja.
The game takes place in the 17th century Japan, in a fictionalized version of the Sengoku period. The player will control a Japanese sailor named William, who sets out to pursue the villain in the country of the rising sun. The gameplay is based on the idea that each action has consequences, and that the player can learn new skills by progressing through the story.
The game is set in a fantasy version of Japan, where the country has been ravaged by war and the flames have burned everything in their wake.
